Kokoro Kids teaches simple, evidence-based tools from martial arts and positive psychology. Kids learn them, parents back them up, and it takes about 10 minutes a day together.
Homework, sport or a new skill ends in tears or giving up.
Small things tip into big reactions, and nobody feels good after.
Tummy aches, sleepless nights and dread before tests or games.
Screens, busy weeks and one-word answers. You want to reconnect.
Resilience isn't something kids either have or don't. It's a set of skills, and skills can be taught. That's what Kokoro Kids does.
Kokoro is Japanese for heart, mind and spirit as one. Our tree gives kids four layers of skills, each with simple tools they can use the moment things get hard.
Strengths, values and gratitude, so kids know what matters to them and keep going.
The power of "yet", problem solving and learning from mistakes instead of fearing them.
Recognising big feelings, putting words to them, and handling worry, anger and frustration.
Breath, stance and energy skills from the martial arts. A calm body comes before clear thinking.
Every lesson has three short parts, so your child learns a tool and you know exactly how to support it at home.
A fun, active video lesson with Mark or Cat that teaches one practical tool.
A short parent video on what to say, what to model and what to avoid.
A simple family activity or game that turns the tool into a habit.
Five days, one tool a day from each part of the Kokoro Tree. The perfect place to start.

Every course grows a new part of your child's Kokoro Tree, so there's always a next step when they're ready.
We started Kokoro Kids because we kept seeing the same thing: kids and parents drifting apart, and kids without the tools to handle pressure.
